When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We also store your chat conversations and saved PC builds so you can access them later.

We may collect your approximate location (country only) via your browser's geolocation API — but only if you explicitly grant permission. This is used solely to select the closest Amazon regional store for you.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the AI-powered PC building service
• To save your builds and chat history for your convenience
• To select the correct Amazon store for your region
• To generate affiliate links (how we sustain the service)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

RigSage integrates with the following third-party services:

• Amazon — Product data, pricing, and affiliate links. When you click a product link, Amazon's own privacy policy applies.
• OpenRouter / AI providers — Your chat messages are sent to AI language models to generate responses. Messages are not stored by these providers beyond the request.
• Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — Used for reverse geocoding when you share your location. Only coordinates are sent; no personal data.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your Amazon region preference. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

Your account data, chats, and saved builds are retained as long as your account exists. You can delete individual chats at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. We follow reasonable security practices to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your saved builds at any time. For any privacy-related requests, please contact us.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify registered users of significant changes via the app.
